MOVING IMAGE POSTERS

Your Thumb Needs a Break is a conceptual poster campaign exploring our increasingly automatic relationship with screens. From endlessly scrolling through TikTok while a drink sits untouched, to recording an entire concert instead of experiencing it, and repeatedly moving a thumb across a gaming controller, the campaign focuses on the small, almost unconscious actions that keep us connected to our devices. Rather than presenting technology as something inherently negative, the project takes a more humorous approach to the everyday habits we've come to accept as normal.

The visual language combines photographic imagery with contrasting typographic styles, pairing an elegant serif typeface with pixel-inspired typography and digital interface references. The pixel elements act almost like a system monitoring our behaviour, turning ordinary moments into humorous “activity reports” and highlighting the absurdity of our digital routines. Each poster captures a different situation, but together they deliver the same simple message: sometimes the best thing your thumb can do is nothing.
